Expressive and charming, featuring cherry, strawberry and rose flavors, with flashes of wild herbs and iron. The vibrant structure drives this red's flavors and keeps everything focused. Ends with a long, fruity, minerally and spicy aftertaste. Sangiovese and Merlot. Drink now through 2040. 8,500 cases made, 6,417 cases imported.

A saturated magenta color, the 2021 Chianti Classico is flush with ripe aromas of fresh plum, violets, mocha, and a light menthol flourish. Juicy and full-bodied, it is approachable and lush, with a velvety texture, sweet tannins, and a relatively long finish. It is a very styled, modern wine that will hold up nicely over the next ten years.

The 2021 Chianti Classico opens to a dark garnet hue and a rich appearance. It is definitely thicker than your standard Chianti Classico, and much of this has to do with its terroir. Fruit for this wine comes from the warmer side of the appellation where the sunlight is whiter and brighter. The wine shows opulent fruit tones that are softened by a good amount of oak spice and cinnamon. It's all good, but I am dismayed by the 15% alcohol content. Production is 100,000 bottles.
