The 2019 Savennières from Domaine des Baumard is showing well, evoking aromas of herbs, ripe pear, spice and flowers. The wine is fresh and juicy, with an elegant entry and a medium-bodied structure. It concludes with a long, penetrating finish and has a delicate bitterness. Bottled with a screw-cap closure.

Subdued and compact, with subtle lemon meringue and baked apple interwoven with smoke, hay and crushed stone. Silky in texture, with a pleasing hint of perfectly toasted marshmallow cruising through the finish. Drink now. 4,000 cases made, 800 cases imported.
