I've had several vintages of this wine, and this is my favorite so far. Despite hitting 14.1% abv, it feels light on its feet, with a nice balance between gentle acidity and velvety tannins. Look for aromas and flavors of briary raspberries, graphite, earth and coffee with cream.

A jeweled magenta/ruby color, the 2022 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills is perfumed and highly expressive, which is true to the vintage character as a whole. Bottled in December, it opens to a wonderful bouquet of potpourri, rose water, wild raspberries, grenadine, and fresh forest herbs. Medium-bodied, it's full of refined elegance, with fine tannins and refreshing, ripe acidity. This really takes a page from the Burgundian side of their heritage. It's beautiful now but will have a wide drinking window over the coming 8-10 years. I would love this wine any time.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Dundee Hills wafts up a delicately spicy blend of dusty black cherries, ground cloves and dried roses. It is round and supple yet lifted in feel, with crisp red berry fruits elevated by a core of zesty acidity as hints of sour citrus add cheek-puckering tension. This tapers off long and perfumed with a bed of crunchy tannins that frames the experience remarkable well. I would never guess that the 2022 hails from a warm vintage.

An attractively built version, with a vibrant core of acidity and tannins framed by steely flavors of cherry and cranberry, all laced with crushed stone and black tea tones as this finishes with snappy tannins. Drink now through 2032. 14,330 cases made.
